Vice Principal's Message

It is an honor to join the Desert View Elementary School community as your Assistant Principal. I am excited to partner with our students, families, and staff as we work together to create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every child can succeed.
I have proudly served in the Lancaster School District for the past 21 years and am beginning my second year as an assistant principal. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching 7th and 8th grade Language Arts, Social Studies, and Physical Education. Most recently, I spent three years as an instructional coach, collaborating with teachers to strengthen instruction and support student achievement.
Building meaningful relationships is at the heart of my work. I believe that when schools and families work together, students are empowered to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I am committed to supporting every student, celebrating their successes, and helping them reach their fullest potential.
I look forward to getting to know each of you and am grateful for the opportunity to serve the Desert View community. Together, we will make this an outstanding year for our students.
Sincerely,
Kristine Hunter
Assistant Principal
